Satans hedges
SPRINGFIELD, MO. If youre a follower of Jesus Christ,
a hedge of protection guards you from the enemys attacks. Job
1:10 says, "Have you [God] not put a hedge around him [Job] and his
household and everything he has?" (NIV).
Gods hedges are mighty fortresses.
Satans hedges are virtual prisons walls that keep men
and women in bondage. Drugs, alcohol, materialism, poverty, promiscuity,
selfishness, prejudice and more form thorny hedges that torment their
souls and obstruct them from seeing Christs love.
Our duty is to penetrate the enemys hedges with the power and
protection of the Holy Spirit. Luke 14:23 says, "Go out into the country
lanes and behind the hedges and urge anyone you find to come, so that
the house will be full" (New Living Translation).
Mothers Day may not be a day of celebration for you because you
have children who are imprisoned by Satans hedges. Do not let
a day pass without praying for their liberation. Do not give up on your
sons or daughters. Ask the Lord what He would have you do to penetrate
their hedges and show them the way to freedom in Christ.
Does God want you to invite your children for a meal and once
again share your burden for their souls?
Does He want you to write a letter expressing your love and
concern for your childs salvation?
Does He want you to place a phone call or pay your children
a visit?
Does He want you to invite them to church?
Does He want you to do something kind for them in the name of
Jesus?
Does He want you to fast and intercede for their salvation for
an extended period?
You have nothing to fear as you embark on this rescue mission. The
hedge around you is impenetrable. If you follow the leading of the Holy
Spirit, you could play a key role in your childrens decision to
trade their prison for a Mighty Fortress.
