Put Your Trust in God

“Blessed is the man that trusteth
in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by
the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see
when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the
year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit” (Jeremiah 17:7,8,
KJV).
“Trust in the LORD, and do good;
so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself
also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy
way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he
shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the
noonday” (Psalm 37:3-6).
“Anyone who trusts in [God] will
never be put to shame” (Romans 10:11, NIV).
Picture this. A huge tree is planted
by a stream of water. Its roots go deep, and the tree is bright with color and full
of leaves. It brings shelter to the birds; it stands in majestic form.
Now picture yourself planted in
God. Your life’s roots are growing deep as you read the Word and then apply the
Word to your life. As you pray and seek God and trust God, you begin bearing
fruit for the benefit of others. Your trust in God grows steadily as you walk
with Him.
Let your ears be attentive to the
Father’s voice. Allow Him to teach you and lead you. Trust in Him with all your
heart, soul, mind and strength.
